The Party is the third episode from Season 1 of Life with Derek. It aired October 2, 2005

Episode SummaryEdit

Derek and Casey's parents go away for the weekend, and take Marti with them. Casey plans to maybe have one friend over, while Derek plans to throw a party. Casey is appalled at Derek's suggestion (more like decision), and tries to stop it. She's about to call George and Nora when Emily introduces her to a cute guy. Casey then decides to dance with him, but things get really out of control, and Casey decides that she still must put an end to it. Derek is already in the bathroom (as he is trying to fix the door for a friend), where she explains to him that he needs to end the party. But she closes the door, unbeknownst that it won't open again.

Now, Casey and Derek have a party going on in their house, with no one to stop it from going haywire -- which is exactly what happens.

Quotes Edit

Casey: How did this happen? How does a person who prides herself on being in total control lose it? Why am I sitting on the bathroom floor? Why is there an out of control party in my living room? The answer to all of these questions could only be: Derek.

Casey: I don't believe it! Am I really having a conversation with the bane of my existence aka Derek?

Derek: Hey, why is it all quiet downstairs? You don't think the police came and cleared out the place, do you?
Casey: Better them than our parents. (Suddenly, the bathroom door gets open, and George and Nora appear with mad looks on their faces. Derek and Casey look up at them, and then exchange with each other the look that says "We're so busted")
